FileShare HQ Privacy Policy

We at FileShare HQ take the privacy of our clients and visitors' data very seriously. Occasionally we may need to amend this policy, and at such times we will update this document. If we make any major changes to this policy, we will notify you either at your primary email address or by displaying a notice to you when you next log in to FileShare HQ. Your continued use of FileShare HQ will constitute your agreement to the modified terms.

Collection and use of your information

When you open an account with us, you are required to supply information such as your name, email address and, unless you are opening a free account, your credit card details FileShare HQ and billing address.

We use this submitted information to supply the FileShare HQ service, to bill you for the service, to verify your identity and to contact you personally if necessary.

You must provide FileShare HQ with a valid credit card or debit card number with available credit or funds to pay the Subscription Fee. You authorize FileShare HQ or its affiliates or partners to make all charges described in these Terms of Service to your organization's account. If the payment of your Subscription Fee fails for any reason, your account may be suspended until you provide FileShare HQ with valid credit card information and the Subscription Fee is paid.

Credit Card numbers are stored by our payment provider, Spreedly Inc, for the rebilling / charging of your account in accordance with the chosen subscription plan. Additional payments or changes to your payments will not be made without prior notification.

We use collected information internally to improve our service, but we do not sell or share the information with other parties for commercial purposes unless we have your permission. We will never use "sneaky" or underhanded tactics to imply your permission - any such request for permission on our web pages or within the FileShare HQ application will be disabled by default and will require you to actively grant us permission to share your information if you wish to do so.

In the event that FileShare HQ or the FileShare HQ Service is aquired by another company, it is likely that your information will be subject to a new Privacy Policy. We will notify you before your information is transferred, either at your primary email address or by displaying a prominent notice when you next log in to FileShare HQ.

Ownership of information

The information you store in your projects while using the FileShare HQ application (the "Content") is your property entirely and we recognise you, the project owner, as the holder of copyright for this Content.

The FileShare HQ application gives you the ability to make individual projects "public" - if you choose to do so, you are granting the ability to view the Content of the project to all.

We have great respect for the privacy of our clients' information. We will never use the information you store with us to compete with you, to market to your clients or associates or for our own business advantange.

We do, however, gather statistical data to help us improve the quality of the service. Such statistics are anonymous and will contain no identifying information. Statistics we gather include but are not limited to:

• The number of files you load to the FileShare HQ service
• The average number of files
• The rate of expansion of FileShare HQ storage

In practical terms, this information helps us gauge the load on the FileShare HQ service and helps us plan for any increases in hardware or bandwidth requirements.

The FileShare HQ application itself, including all related images, CSS and Javascript files, remains the exclusive property of FileShare HQ.

Cookies and sessions

When you log in to the FileShare HQ application, a small piece of data called a Cookie is sent to your computer and stored on your hard drive. FileShare HQ uses cookies to increase the ease with which you can navigate the application. Your browser must have cookies enabled for you be able to use the FileShare HQ application.

Cookies contain only small pieces of information. They do not contain any executable information that could threaten your computer. We do not use cookies to compromise your privacy or security.

Security

The FileShare HQ application makes use of industry-standard security measures. While it can never be said that any website or application has perfect, impenetrable security, we will always take the required reasonable measures to keep your information safe from loss, misuse, alteration and theft.

Special circumstances

Under special circumstances it may be necessary for us to share your information for purposes of law enforcement. In such situations, we will always comply with the law and will share your information if we are obliged to do so.
